Yes that's what I said, word is that in 2002, a touring Hardtop group will be showing fans the thrill of this form racing once again. The car at the right is owned by MikeMcCann, who found it and restored it. There are others being built or restored right now for the 2002 season. The following photos show John McCann in the Cascade Hardtops house car. This car is a copy of a Vallejo Speedway Hardtop. The Cascade Hardtop group runs up in Oregon. Below are some of the cars that run with this group. In 2002 we could see some of this same racing action in California. |

Just got the confirmed dates for the 2002 Hadtop Tour. The 1st date is Sept. 20 at Sacramento Raceway's oval track. The 2nd will be at Orland Raceway the next night Sept. 21...that Friday at Sacramento and Saturday at Orland.
