Vallejo Speedway Hardtops & Memories.
Photos from Steve Sutherland
Steve Sutherland owns and operates an automotive repair & muffler shop in San Leandro, California. He is also a lead official at Antioch Speedway, Antioch, Ca. He crewed on cars at Vallejo Speedway in the mid to late 60's until he was drafted during the war. Upon returning home he again returned to speedway where he owned and raced cars from 1971 -1976. The photos your see on this page are from that time. A big thanks to Steve for sharing his photos for all of us to see.

The car looks even better on the track... Steve went on to own supers and sprint cars driven by Stan Cargo, Mark Ploude, and others. He still helps and sponsors cars, as well as being an official at Antioch, he is a big supporter of the Wingless Spec Sprint class currently running at Antioch & Petaluma Speedways
