In the late 50's, thur the 60's into the early 70's seeing a hardtop that ran at Vallejo Speedway was a common site in many SF Bay area cities.
Sometimes the old family hardtop didn't come home as good as it left eariler in the day.
Being a kid meant you didn't have to worry about the bent up hardtop that was setting on the trailer.
The 2nd time around sometimes leads to better results as seen here with the new car.
The state of the art power plant for the later model hardtops...it's still a thing beauty.
