Vallejo Speedway hosted more than just the Hardtop class, there were Super Stocks, Street Stocks, Super Modifieds, Sprints, etc. If you have any photos from any division that raced at Vallejo E-MAIL them to me in ipg. format and we''ll keep the memories of Vallejo Speedway alive!

I borrowed this photo from your webpage, it just                                                                       happens to be the car I helped build the motor in with                                                               Babs at Imperial Automotive Center.

The shop just happens to be across the street from my                                                                house. And as a young boy of 11 it kept me out of                                                                    trouble, plus I got along with Babs great something not a                                                            lot of people did.

He showed me how to tune those trick carbs. (6 - twos) and how during the building process of building two cars that year I picked up a lot from Gil Florke on how to make those car go around the track.

Tom Woods did the welding he showed me how to weld (I was not any good but got better as the car got completed).

Plus the best part at the end of the year they took me to the races and I got hooked from there.
