George Acree's grandson Rudy sent us a couple of photos of when George & Frank Blado first layed out what would became the Vallejo Speedway 1/4 mile

Rudy's mom Donna is George Acree's daugther. Don Martin and I had the chance to meet Rudy, Donna, & her husband Wayne during the Cascade hardtop race up at Sacrameto Raceway this past summer.

They had with them countless photos like the 2 here of Vallejo from day one till the end. I haven't had the chance like I thought to meet them again and scan some of their collection for all to see.

I'd like to think Rudy for taking the time to scan and send these shots.
Looking rom the pits to what would become turn 4,
the front straight, and turn 1.
How many of you remeber the old drive-in across from turn 2? This photo answered an old question of mine as to which was there first the track or the drive-in.
Looking down at the track from the main grandstand area, you can the old 5/8 mile tracks outline between the drive-in & the 1/4 mile track.
