#3 Dave Logan In front of a beautiful red car with a chrome plated hood. This car was known as the "Bockover Special". |
#4 Bob Caswell Otherwise known as "Rapid Robert Caswell" |
#49 George Nunez George bounced this car over/thru the first turn fence one night. As you can see, it needs a new paint job. George was ok and was back racing again, although, not in this car. |
Thanks Tom for sharing your photos & thoughts with us.
This will be the 3rd of 5 pages from Tom's Vallejo Speedway Photo Collection

#5 Leroy Geving "You know who..LEROY GEVING!" in the "Bing's Special". This picture was taken in 1964. Beautiful orange car with yellow lettering. Sharp and fast! |
#62 Fred Turner As I recall, Fred always seemed to have terrible luck at Vallejo, if he had any luck at all. He was always fun to watch drive. He was always one of the fast guys out there. |
#63 Don Scott He was a mechanic up in St. Helena at Valley Chevrolet for many years. I use to walk by the shop every day on the way home from school. He'd park his race car out in the back of the shop during the week and I'd tell my buddies that I knew him and he was fun to watch. (I really did know Don, but only casually) |
