Laney Westbrook Hardtop Photos
shared by his daughter
Ronda Bergesen
Westbrook Hardtop & Super Photos
Laney waves the "Victory" sign out the window of the # 2 Rick's Shell sedan.
The Rick's Shell # 1 Championship car was Laney's last hardtop.
There was a time long ago when going to the races meant seeing the hardtops do battle. No curfews, 80-100 cars in the pits, great racing, and a full night of entertainment. Seeing our heros go head to head, Geving, Pedlar, Viel, Quinn, the Kaiser brothers, the Dudley's, so, so many to remember. Laney Westbrook was one of the guys right in the thick of it week in and week out.

Thanks Ronda for sharing these photos of your dad for all of us to share on the
Vallejo Speedway Hardtops & Memories site
Laney moved up to the Super Modified division at Vallejo and was a regular runner until the time Vallejo competitors turned there last laps when the speedway was closed down.
