This is one of the late Duane Bonini. He was just making his mark in the racing game when he was tragically killed at the Calistoga Fairgrounds half-mile track while driving a sprint car. If I'm correct here, I believe that it was Duane's death that finally made the N.A.R.C. Sprint Car Association make full roll cages mandatory on the Sprints. |
This one should be familiar to you all.This is Phil "Bang-Bang"Pedlar. Phil used to stop by and talk to my dad at The Vallejo Toyota dealership once in a while. My dad retired from Toyota in 1986. My dad was in on getting Phil to drive Landon Brown's 6 cylinder Screamer that night.That was one for the ages.........If only Phil could've held it together. |
